What's Happening Please note that the next meeting of the TBLS will be held July 5th, 2005, at 7:30 p.m., at the shop of Founding Member Mike VansEvers. It is located on Hillsborough Avenue, above the Speaker Exchange. More precise directions will be sent as the date gets closer. Mike has asked that anyone trying to call him please use his cell phone, 813-309-0700. This date is very close to the 4th of July holiday. Our past experience suggests that changing the date usually results in a much smaller than average turnout, so we're leaving it on the 5th, and hoping that as many of you as possible will be able to attend. Bob Broadhead has agreed to host the September meeting (details at a later date), which means that we are looking for a host for August and also October and November. Please email me if you are interested. Since Mike is moving, we will need to meet at each other's homes, if we are going to meet at all. With that in mind, I would suggest that anyone interested in hosting a meeting should know that if you prefer to keep the food and drink served to a minimum, that's fine. It isn't necessarily a party, and we survived for many years on Doritos and cookies. If you want to do more in the way of food, that's fine also, but we don't want to discourage anyone from hosting due to concerns over what to serve or over the cost. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any suggestions on what to serve. There should be a newsletter and President's Corner soon. For now, on behalf of everyone in TBLS, I would like to convey a big thank you to Larry Wickman, and to Ellen and Alan Nastir for hosting our recent meetings. Both evenings were very enjoyable, as well as interesting and informative. More about this later. Speaking of the newsletter, you (yes, YOU) are encouraged to contribute to it. An article on any audio- or music-related topic is always welcome, as are list of favorite CDs/recordings, and so forth. See you soon, Peter Fiskio pfiskio1@tampabay.rr.com
