If anyone is particularly interested in hearing LP's on my system, try to get here about 7pm so you can hear a whole hour of LP's. After 8pm, we can hear a mix of CD's and LP's. Please bring your favorite LP or CD and compare the sound on my legacy system with your own system. -Larry President's Corner Let's begin by thanking Jim (our esteemed newsletter editor) and Pat Maher for hosting the April TBLS meeting. We had a very enjoyable meeting-good food, good music, particularly the Concert for George DVD as seen and heard through the Home Theater system, and good company. The Maher’s have turned their former dining room into a pool room, which added to the fun of the meeting; there is no truth to the rumor that John and Tom were playing for the deeds to their houses. It was a pleasure to hear one of Jim's countless audio systems (he had 47 at last count, I believe); the one we heard included speakers by our own Harley Day. Thanks again to the entire Maher Family for their hospitality. Our next meeting will be at the home of long-time member, Larry Wickman. He actually has an agenda, just like we remember, and it sounds like we have a very worthwhile evening in store. To all of our newer members and prospective members, please keep attending. It's a pleasure getting to know you better, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Word is that the TBLS President and others will be doing their top CDs lists. As soon as I can narrow the essentials down below 100 (if this is possible; it may not be), the list will go out.
